Mechanical Design Engineer with Production Management Control - January 28, 2008

SMI has begun plans to establish a new product line supporting it’s other Mechanical Motion Components. We need a Design Engineer to assume a leadership role in product design and development, evolving into full production control and accountability for quality and perfection.

This is not your typical mundane Engineering job, sitting behind a desk with no idea of what is being created. The person qualified to fill this position will be responsible for all new designs, creating methodologies, including all phases of production and inspection. 

Experience in converting rotary motion to efficient linear motion a very strong plus. Have 3D design skills, a talent for detail, a leadership attitude and experience in multiple disciplines including plastic molding, tooling and machining critical.  

Salary commensurate with experience and skill level. Degree and broad experience a must. SMI pays well. This base salary to be $60 - $75K before sharing in success of the program. We are a team organization and this position is eligible to share in the team’s total success.

 We will need to see all of the standard information regarding past experience, education and etc. In return, we will pay a solid base salary, profit sharing, full medical benefits including dental and vision options, A D & D, life insurance and more.
