Low Cost/ Low Maintenance
Round, hardened & precision ground shafting combined with recirculating, self-aligning linear pillow blocks provided a very reliable and predictable system with minimal user maintenance. All parts are replaceable at little cost unlike more complex systems that require major reconditioning at the factory.
Complete System
SMI's stages are complete and ready to install. Includes pillow blocks, shafting and all necessary end supports.
Low Friction
Coefficient of friction at .003 typical. Seals are included in all systems pillow blocks. If friction is a major concern, seals can be removed (Seals add approximately 28 grams of drag/seal). All pillow blocks are pre-loaded at the factory for a line-to-air fit (0 pre-load, 0 loose). Pre-load can be added if required.
