SMI Reaches New Heights with Its Support Rail Assembly

A designer and fabricator of camera controlled systems called Riggins Design, needed to design a telescopic camera crane that carries a motion picture camera. The crane would need to raise the camera from ground level to 40 feet in the air as well as extend and retract the camera in various directions. Telescopic cranes have to move the camera very smoothly for image stability, quietly for sound, and safely avoiding injury to personnel.
