Sliding Elements provide benefit in harsh environments and in applications requiring virtually no maintenance.  These products are typically less expensive than Profile Rail and Round Rail systems, but lack the load carrying capability and the straightness achieved with those stage types.

The key to this product type is the polymer bushings that slide along the SMI™ Hardcoat™ shafting.  The material used for the bushing is self lubricating and has excellent wear characteristics when sliding on the Hardcoat™ shafting.  The bushings are impervious to debris and contaminants and there are high temperature versions available if needed.
