I am writing to you today to inform you of how pleased we are with the level of service and quality that we have received while dealing with your company.
FHC Inc. is a small medical device company located in Maine. We manufacture micro electrodes for use during brain operations, we also manufacture the equipment that goes with the electrodes.
We first made contact with SMI through an Internet search while looking for drives for a project that I was asked to develop for the production facility. I asked for and received a catalog from SMI along with a follow up e-mail from Troy Parrish to be sure that I received the catalog.
My First verbal contact with SMI was a person named Jamie Ramos. Jamie was then and is now I beleive a wonderful asset for your company. Anything I have asked of him he has delivered beyond my expectations. Jamie has a demeanor about him that does not make you feel like you are imposing on him while you are asking amateur questions about motors and other things that I have no clue about. Also during our
coversations and dealings I have changed specification lengths several times and Jamie has always taken it in stride.
Now about the product we purchased from your company for my project. We purchased an SAT-14 open positioning system with a 14" travel, an SI3540 controller/indexer and a C8049-9212K stepper motor. On page 32 of catalog number 1.02.03 at the bottom of the page is the economy stage ad. This is the drive that we purchased. Economy yes, great price. Delivery good, Quality of drive was way beyond my expectations of an economy drive. Drive is aestectically pleasing to the eye and also far exceeded my precision expectations. The software for programmimg the drive was also simple to use and easily learned, and applied.
My Project was a success in part due to your company's response to my request and to the quality of the product, and service I received while integrating the drive into the equipment design.
Subsequently to this I have now asked for a quote and will purchase from your company an XYZ stage. Originally I received an 8 week delivery time, which would hurt my new project so I asked Jamie if he could do better on the delivery time and he has, which is another plus for me, and your company.
